First Republic Private Wealth Management is comprised of investment management, brokerage, trust, financial planning and insurance professionals within First Republic Investment Management (FRIM), First Republic Securities Company (FRSC),  First Republic Trust Company (FRTC), and Foreign Exchange. We offer customized wealth management solutions for our clients from a wide array of services including comprehensive investment management, financial planning, estate planning, trust services, endowment management and more. An individual assuming this role will be responsible for the change in custodian registration to First Republic and for the Alternatives. This individual will be maintain clear records on each stage in the re-registration process.

The Wealth Management Onboarding Alternatives Associate is a key member of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) Onboarding and Transition Management Team. The role will engage with all aspects of PWM and provides excellent exposure to cross-functional department business partners and to Executive Management. This role covers the onboarding cycle including recruiting, onboarding, and integration of new teams into PWM while working directly with our Client Service and Transition Management Team to support the growth of our business.

What you’ll do as a Wealth Management Onboarding Alternatives Associate:

  • Serve as a key point of contact to new wealth management teams throughout their transition to First Republic as they re-register their Alternatives

  • Responsible for tracking progress and providing regular updates on the status of Alternatives during the transition

  • Work closely with First Republic’s Alternatives Team and Operations Team to ensure we have the most accurate forms, contact information and process

  • Address ad-hoc questions related to administrative matters of the funds

  • Facilitate the re-registration process for new wealth management teams and see through completion for all requested Alternatives

  • Become a SME on products and services available on the Alternatives platform

  • Work closely with third-party fund administrators to ensure the team has access to capital call and distribution details

  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability and ability to work under pressure

  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. bank secrecy act, us patriot act, etc.) 2) adhering to bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the bank.

  • Strong organizational skills with astute attention to details

  • Very strong interpersonal and written skills to effectively interact directly with company officers, top echelon wealth managers, home office and outside business partners.

  • Basic Microsoft office usage skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM system (Salesforce).

  • Excellent time management skills required to manage each stage of the re-registration process

  • Self-starter, takes initiative

Base salary range

$40.87 - $45.67 per hour. 

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills and experience. Full-time employees may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes: medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off and a Wellness Program.  Annual bonus, incentive pay and/or equity may also apply depending upon the role.
