Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior DigitalFront-End Architect, Digital Transformation, is focused on the architecture and implementation guidance for the Digital Front-End technologies that supports our next generation corporate banking platform. This individual will be working to establish the patterns and practices for Cloud Web Hosting, Micro Front-End, UI Toolkit and other digital cutting-edge technologies for Web and Mobile. The successful candidate will play the role of “Customer Obsession”, push the technology boundary, and deliver customer obsessed Digital Corporate Banking with measurable objectives and key results (OKRs).
What you’ll do as a Senior Digital Front-End Architect:
- Design and oversee the implementation of web and mobile experiences for FRB banking customers.
- Drive the digital front-end architecture and roadmap to improve customer Digital experience while optimizing development processes and code artifacts.
- Create transitional architectures required to transform legacy digital web and mobile experience to cutting edge solutions.
- Implement secure web and mobile applications by following and applying security best practices.
- Help solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally.
- Work alongside our team of technologists from FRB to create and deliver Digital web and mobile solutions that are integrated with vendor/partner solutions.
- Work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment-one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of FRB’s customers.
- Lead multiple teams from development to deployment - recruit, retain, coach, and inspire a diverse, high performing team and culture
- Document work for the team and for broader communication


You could be a great fit if you have:
- Technical expertise in at least one public cloud platform: AWS, Azure or GCP
- Expertise in multiple front-end web frameworks (React, Next, Angular).
- Expertise with NestJS framework.
- Expertise in client side authentication using OAuth 2.0 and OIDC as well as SAML.
- Expertise creating client-side JavaScript in Typescript.
- Expertise in securing web and mobile applications.
- Expertise in multiple modern programming languages and frameworks – JavaScript, React, NodeJS, Java, Spring Boot or Apache Kafka
- Proficiency in Cloud enabled architecture and design of high performing, secured Restful APIs or GraphQL.
- Experienced in container orchestration frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working in Agile environment with modern CI/CD and DevOps principles
- Solid background in Cloud-first environments and building cloud native platforms
- Executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API strategy
- Strategic thought leader who can craft a mission and strategy for a given space and inspire teams to deliver on it
- Hand-on, "roll up your sleeves" collaborative style of working
- Mastery of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
- Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
- Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
- Previous experience in Secrets/Vaulting or Identity and Access Management solutions is a major plus
Experience & Education
- Strong technical background
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent field or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years implementing secure web and mobile applications.
- Leadership in growing team expertise to align with demand and business and technology direction; assess team capabilities, identify ways to provide and enhance value delivered
- The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively, coordinate multiple priorities, successfully resolve complex matters, easily understand processes/workflows, identify risks, and effectively tailor their communication (written/verbal) to their audience in a clear and concise manner
- Readiness to work independently and often autonomously in the management of teams and operational disciplines and develop strategic thinking and planning in work plan execution
- Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position

Base salary
$160,000/yr - $220,000/yr
